Jacque’s Review:

Taken is a well-rounded story with the perfect blend of paranormal, mystery and suspense. I was able to completely lose myself in this page-turner. The main character, Kasha, was such a treat. I was just as mystified as she was as she discovers her powers. The author’s attention to detail in visual and emotional description was so vivid I had felt I was right there with Kasha. The secondary characters really make this story complete, especially the unexpected villains. Or shall I say the unpredictable ones because when Kasha’s grandmother told her to trust no one she wasn’t kidding. There are obvious bad guys (or shall I say gal), but it’s the other secondary characters I am seriously beginning to question. And that my friends, is why I was enthralled with this book. Just when I felt I had this story figure out, author Felicia Starr throws in another twist.

This is definitely a great start to a new series. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!
