Book Description:

ou know that Abby Abernathy unexpectedly became Mrs. Maddox. But what do you really know?

Why did Abby pop the question?
What secrets were shared before the ceremony?
Where did they spend their wedding night?
Who else knew about it . . . and didn’t tell?

Everything about Abby and Travis’s elopement was top-secret . . . until now. Fans of Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster will get all of their questions answered in this whirlwind tale of the wedding day (and night!)—and as with all good stories, this one will definitely have been worth the wait.

Donna’s 5 Star Review:

I remember the day I met Travis like it was yesterday, I had just finished reading 50 Shades of Grey and was in the biggest book hangover I’d ever had. I was going around and trying to find something else to read, I kept seeing a ton of people saying how wonderful BD was. But no one elaborated on what BD stood for. So I investigated and got lucky.

Beautiful Disaster is a lovely book by Author Jamie McGuire. The synopsis hooked me, I one-clicked so fast you would have had whiplash. Within moments I was immersed in the world of Travis Maddox and Abby Abernathy. WOW, what a beautiful story. Each moment a revelation, it was like you were watching someone fall in love for the very first time. Loving someone is never easy but when you fall it feels so good.

At the end of the Beautiful Disaster, Travis and Abby were boarding a plane to go back home and face America’s wrath.

A Beautiful Wedding picked up as Abby was sitting there on the bed in Travis’ room, having just survived the fire at Keaton hall. Those of you who’ve read Beautiful Disaster know what happened in that fire. Abby was desperately trying to get out of the basement, fearing that she was going to die but Travis found her and saved her. Abby was torn between love & loss surrounding the situation that happened in the building. Her impromptu marriage proposal to Travis was both out of love and out of fear.

I won’t give away any spoilers but I will say, you will see Abby struggle to hold it together so she doesn’t lose Travis. And you’ll see Travis love Abby and you just fall in love with him all over again.

Its a tear-jerker, as a parent there is a part of this book that just tugs your heart. I caught myself making mental notes myself for my children.

The way Travis love Abby is one of fairytales, one you’d wish was real and genuine and that you’d hope one day you’d strive to have.

A Beautiful Wedding gives you a look at their first anniversary, drinking games, even a new friendship. Everything comes full circle for both Travis and Abby.

Here’s one of my favorite quotes from the first book and it made its way into this one:

“I knew the second I met you that there was something about you I needed. Turns out it wasn’t something about you at all. It was just you.”

/sigh

Travis will always be my first book-boyfriend and I will continue to love him dearly.
