This is the second book in the In Vein series from C.M. Radcliff. You need to read Opium Skies first. Ander and Hadley’s story picks up right where it left off in Opium Skies. It has been a few months and Hadley is trying to begin her life again and Ander is still struggling right in the middle of his disease. I guess I should also take this moment to say that this book might contain triggers for some people too so you will want to proceed with caution. This is one of those books where you are right there in the moment with these characters. You will want to shake the crap out of Ander. I swear I just wanted him to get it and get the help he so desperately needs. I also though learned that you have to have all the information too to make such a statement really sick with someone so addicted. Just like the first time I loved these character and they have such a raw and real story to tell. One you don’t want to miss and one that will steal your heart and have it in your throat the entire time you are reading. I loved this book so much and closed it with tears in my eyes and a big old lump in my throat.
