This is the complete Beauty and the Villain Duet in one book. This is one that you do not want to miss. I loved every single second of it.

This is the story of Rush and Aileen This is a dark romance so you need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. Though I would say I have read darker things from VF Mason. This is the first book in a duet so you should expect a cliff hanger. I think I spent a lot of this book trying to figure it all out and it is certainly very detailed and you get the back story too of how she met Rush and the letters she use to send to him and the ones he wrote to her and never sent. I don’t want to get into the story but I will tell you I finished it with a big OH NO!!!!! I sure did not see that coming. This story gives off the original Beauty and the Beast Vibes and Hades and Persephone vibes too. You just have to read it because anything I say would be a spoiler. I really like Aileen shes one spitfire of a young lady and Rush will give you major antihero vibes.
The Heart of A Villain
Aileen is gone and we have no idea whether someone terrible has her or if she is going to be ok. And is Rush alright after what happened? Well I can’t tell you. I can’t tell you a lot about what happens in this book. but I can tell you that we get more back story between Rush and his twin. The life Rush led before we got to know him and what made him the man he is today. But most of all the truth. My heart really broke for Rush at points in this book. Spend some more time with Lavender and learn the truth of it all. This book sucks you right back in to this world and will keep you on the edge of your seats through some of it. I have loved this duet. It is one that you do not want to miss.
