Renee’s Five Star ReviewÂ
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
I will go ahead and warn you that when you start this book you are not going to be laying it down. This is the story of Amon and Reina. I don’t know that I fully knew what I was getting myself into reading the description of this book. Amon and Reina are about the same age and I guess we could call them strangers but they had met each other before. Their families only around each other when it was necessary. Neither of them had a great childhood all thanks to their father’s lifestyles. But a death causes Renia and her older sister to go and live with their precious grandmother who tried her very best to protect them from their father’s lifestyle. Amon and Dante though weren’t so lucky and the world they grew up in was such a rough world that your heart is just going to break for them. They where always watch and treated so critically and picked at. It will almost make you mad. When Reina and Amon meet it is so sweet and they stay friends through their early twenties and they have the most amazing banter. I was loving every single second of it. He is falling in love with her and has this alpha protective side that is also possessive and a little jealous at times. However a secret will change their lives and rock their worlds and I have to say that you might want to hang on to your kindle. I lie you not, mine almost met a wall until I took a breath and realized I didn’t have another one to replace mine with and wouldn’t be able to read anymore. But man I was so mad. That is about all of the story I can tell you about and not give something away. I will say though that the cliff you dive off of at the end of this book is brutal and left me reeling. I need the next book in my hands right this second. I have to know what is going to happen. That is all there is to it.

His little cinnamon girl. That lion grew up into a prince. Dark, bitter, and so beautiful that it hurt to look at him. But underneath it all, the girl saw the man. I saw his hunger for love and affection, and I had plenty to give. I fell in love, even though he told me not to. I gave him everything, because that was who I was. I was determined to show him the light in this world, and his smiles were what I lived for. He was my art, my melody, my muse. We were beautiful together. So I gave and gave, all to my bitter prince. Until I had nothing left to give. Until he left me empty. No one warned me love would push me into darkness so cold, it’d tear me apart.
About Renee Henson
Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
