I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the second book in the Wicked West Rejects and it is Micha and Tess’s story. This is a dark enemies to lovers book and you will not be able to lay this book down once you pick it up. These two were thrown together as children because they came from two powerful families. They instantly hated each other. Tess lost her mother at a really young age and my heart just absolutely broke fro her having lost my own but no where near as young as Tess is but still young. That’s a hard loss to deal with for sure. She also has this strong fear of losing her father and that made her the most dutiful daughter who did absolutely everything her father asked her to do. Didn’t matter if it would affect her or threaten her happiness she did it. Which lead her to not have the best life because inside this girl is a fire cracker while she shows the world a prim and proper daughter of the mayor. She certainly would love to rebel and she longs for some excitement in her life which leads her into the arms of the boy she absolutely couldn’t stand at one time. Micah doesn’t want the prim and proper and wants her to be who she is and do what she wants to do. He has had a really painful past that has made him a fighter who isn’t afraid to tell anyone exactly what he thinks. He has up so many wall and Tess makes him feel things that he never ever thought he would be able to feel. Under that exterior is a man who is tenderhearted, possessive of his woman and would burn the world down for he if she wanted him too. I loved these two characters. They are explosive together and I was sucked so hard into this story that I did not lay this book down. I loved every single second of this story. Had to process it a day or two after I finished it. You do not want to miss this book. Tess and Micah are two characters you will never be able to forget.
