This is the first book in the Gilded Empire Series. If you love dark Mafia romances then you do not want to miss this book. This is the story of Mari and Greyson. She is the head of the Mafia in Seattle. You read that right she is!! Greyson is her right hand and she has been in love with the man for as long as she can remember. She has grown up her entire life preparing to be a mafia wife. But, when her twin brother is taken out she has to change that focus to learning how to rule. She has a lot going on and way to much loss happening. However, she didn’t expect for Dominic to show back up in her life. But, the man is back and he offers himself to her in more then helping out in the mafia. Add to it Nate who is the good guy who helps her in a moment when she needed it, and the girl has her hands full. But he isn’t without his issues. When they all want her what will she do? Will she ever be able to choose. Add to it some bad things that begin happen and you suddenly find yourself on the edge of your seat. I loved reading this book. I so can not wait to see what is going to happen next.
