Blog Tour: Deranged Vow by T.L. Smith and Kia Carrington

This is the fourth book in the Lethal Vows Series. It is the story of Alek and Lena. If you have read Cunning Vows then you know that Alek is Anya’s brother. We got to meet him a little in that book but he was away chasing Cinita in Russia so you might want to read that book. I feel like you would be missing a really great book. Alek and Anya are twins and you would get to know her and River as they appear in this book. Plus you get to see some of the past and especially know how these two became so powerful and go to where they are today. I was so intrigued by Alex in the first book and I could not wait to get my hands on this book.
Alex is back in the states and up to his usual business. Cinita however is still on his mind and now she is missing. No one can find her and he has always protected her. As you read this book you will find out even more about the how and why’s of this. He has his hands in all kinds of business and is sponsoring an off Broadway show. This is when he first meets Lena. The woman can sing like and angel and he can’t help but sit and stare at her while she is obligated to meet and be nice to him. To say this meeting didn’t go the best in the world is an understatement. Expecting to just meet investors in the who she is surprised when the man who has stared at her all night, suddenly is demanding answers that she doesn’t have to give. I don’t think I am going to tell more than that little tease. These two have quite the story to tell.
I really loved Lena. She is one tough cookie who has a dream and even without the support of her family really. Singing is her dream and she is not giving that up, period!! She is also one sassy, spunky, takes no crap off anyone kind of girl. She works her butt off to survive and live her dream. Alek is a man that you do not want to mess with. He is a little awkward around people. He does not really talk much and has quite the backstory that will unfold as this book goes on. He is a protector at heart and loves his sister deeply but is dealing with some trauma from the past that he shares with no one. He doesn’t like to be touched or touch. However, under it all he is such a nice guy. A bad butt but a nice guy. I thought that this story was on of discovery. A story that is beautiful and will make you swoon at the tender moments between these two. You can’t help but fall in love with both of them. There is also a bit of a mystery and some danger in this book I loved every second of this book.
