This is the story of Luke and Dutchess. Luke is ruthless. He doesn’t trust very much at all. I don’t know that I can say he doesn’t trust at all. He is cold as ice and not a man you ever want to cross. He also is taken totally by surprise by Dutchess. She is someone that he really wants to trust for the first time in his life. But that doesn’t come easy to him and what if it is the biggest mistake he has ever made. He certainly can’t let that happen. But she brings out a side of him that I’m not even sure he realized existed. Dutchess is the light to his darkness and carrying around some huge secrets that could blow the life she has built right out of the water. When she meets Luke there is absolutely nothing in her that wants to avoid him at all cost. Not even her secrets. But, she know if they were to come out live that would be the end of her. These are secrets that could cost her and anyone she loves their lives. She just doesn’t know that if the secret comes out if Luke would still be standing by her side. I swear this is on of those reads that is so intense that it sucks you really hard into the story line and your hanging on by a thread the entire time that you are reading. This is a book that I really loved reading and one that you really shouldn’t miss.
