The first, I humiliated myself by spying on him. The second, I decided to throw caution to the wind and show up at probably the worst possible time. He’s dangerous, demanding, and able to consume me with just one look. He’s also on trial for murder, and no one in his club trusts me. You’d think I’d run. I mean, the cards are stacked against us. But I can’t escape my need, this all-consuming pull I have with him. He may be wrong for me, but he’s the very force that brings me to life.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Julianne and Ryder. I have to warn you that this book is full of angst too!!! These two have some really smoking hot chemistry. Ryder is a enforcer for his MC and has some serious demons that he carries around that haunt him all the time. Julianna is a friend of Axel’s sister and no matter how hard she might try to forget the first time she met Ryder she can’t. She came to the clubhouse to pick up Gia and everyone knows that nothing every goes as planned as the Disciples Clubhouse. I don’t really want to ruin all of that story but the second that Ryder laid eyes on her he felt things that he has never felt before. Trouble is always around the bend the tables are certainly turned and it turns into a who is really protecting who kind of thing. I do not want to give this story away. I just went in to it blind knowing that I really wanted to read it and it did not disappoint. I loved these characters. I loved that their story was told in the past and present tense so you feel like you know everything there is to know about them. You can read this story as a standalone but I will warn you that this book will hook you on the entire series and you will want to go back and read the entire series. You are going to have so much fun reading this book. Will be on the edge of your seat a lot of the time and swooning to many times to count!!
