Natalia Carprio once had a boyfriend and when she broke up with him he put a hit out on her!! First of all hello psycho ex-boyfriend. Good grief I can’t even imagine and that is what caught my attention the most and had me dying to read this book. I can tell you that it did not disappoint at all. Natalia can imagine is in a mess and worried to pieces and a little scared. After all she needs protection and she needs it now. The only person she knows that she can turn to is her best friends father. Christian “Monster” Marchetti, where she ends up on her knees for him. I would for sure call him the anti-hero in this book. He does however really see that Natalia is in trouble and is willing to help her. But you sure don’t get the nickname of Monster for no reason at all. He has known her for a while since she is the best friend of his child and he knows that she has a mouth on her. But he also admires her for her fire. She has in life made some really bad choices but she also always owns up to them. She also will never let people treat her poorly even Monster. It is the fire in her that he comes to love so much. And of course there is a price to pay when you need the kind of protection from a man like she needs the help from. She just never expected it to be becoming his wife. I really loved these characters. I loved the fire between them and they absolutely have some amazing banter between them. They also are jut perfection together and I really devoured this book.
