Jason is the fourth book in Kris Michael’s Kings Of Guardian Series Each
book can be read as a standalone.
Jason King has been offered the position of the lifetime. Assume control
of Guardian Security from the man who built the business.Jason however
has demons that haunt him but needed to be out to rest. There’s one
stipulation that has Jason having to visit the families of two men lost
in the line of duty. The minute he meets Faith Collins and her son Reece
he knows he’s found his other half. Faith has a past that would destroy
most people but she’s made a new life for herself and is an amazing
mother to her son. Is there any way the millionaire CEO and the girl
with the bad past make a life together?
I really really enjoyed this book. Jason was an amazing character. He is
fighting his demons and the job of a lifetime has fallen in his lap. The
moment he met Faith though I could feel their connection through the
pages of the book. Faith is an amazing mom and to live through what she
had to live through is a miracle. I couldn’t have survived I don’t
think. Together they share laughter and love, tears and sorrow, and
excitement of the bullets flying kind.
If you’ve not easy any book in this series you will not be lost. You
will however want to read the rest of the book. Kris Michaels has set
the fifth book up perfectly with this one too.

Carla’s Four Star Review
This is the 4th book in the Kings of Guardian series, and this is Jason’s story. While this can be read as a stand alone, I suggest reading books 1-3 , so you will have a better understanding of the characters.
Jason King has just been going through the motions of life. The truth is he stopped really living the day he lost two of his men on the battlefield a world away. Everyone else in his life realizes that he wasn’t at fault for the men’s deaths, but he still blames himself. When a huge opportunity presents itself, Jason is forced to face the demons that haunt him.
Faith Collins knows what it means to suffer and experience loss. After her stepbrother, Theo, rescues her and her infant son from a living hell, she thinks her life is finally on the fast track to happiness. When Theo is killed during one of his missions, she is once again thrust into a world of sadness. However, Faith is nothing if not resilient. She picks herself up and moves on. For a while, things are quiet. That all changes when Jason King shows up. The chemistry they share is strong and instantaneous. Does love at first sight really happen, and is it possible for love grow out of tragedy?
Overall, this was a pretty good read. I am not a huge fan of military romance, so I wasn’t over the moon for the story line. It wasn’t anything particular that made it just an “okay” read for me. It just wasn’t my cup of tea. With that said, if you enjoy this genre, I am sure you will love this book/series!
