Kisses Like Rain, an arranged marriage, enemies to lovers romance, and the highly anticipated fourth book in the dark mafia Corsican Crime Lord Series from USA Today Charmaine Pauls, is available now!
Angelo Russo came like a storm into my life and left destruction in his trail. The man who hates me beyond measure is the man who put a ring on my finger and gave me his name. My husband is my worst enemy.
There’s nothing left to salvage from the wreckage of our lives. He married me to destroy me, and he did an outstanding job. He took my innocence and my virtue. I gave him my love and my hate. And just when I think there’s nothing else to give, I realize how wrong I am. What Angelo wants most is the promise of life I carry inside my body. When he’s taken that last piece of me, he’ll crush me with a smile on his beautiful face and wipe my existence from his memory forever.
Note: Kisses Like Rain is the 4th and final book in the Corsican Crime Lord series and concludes Sabella and Angelo’s story. You must read Love Like Poison (Book 1), Hate Like Honey (Book 2), and Tears Like Acid (Book 3) first. The story contains scenes not recommended for sensitive readers. Reader discretion is advised.
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the fourth and final book in the Corsican Crime Lord series. You have to read Love Like Poison, Hate Like Honey, and Tears Like Acid or you will be lost reading this book.
Sebella and Angelo…oh how you have broken my heart so many times. But I so had this need to know how this was going to wrap up and end and hope I left there with my heart intact. I so am hoping for the happiest happily ever after in ever afters. Buckle up ladies and gentlemen because you are going on one heck of a journey to get there. These two really struggle at times with the way they feel about each other. He still doesn’t trust her at all and really will not let his children be around her because of that. She is the exact opposite and family is absolutely everything to her. She puts them above herself always. She has such great feelings for Angelo and he just doesn’t ever see them. How he doesn’t I will never know but we have to remember that he married her to destroy her and has done one heck of a job up to this point. She just might be the love of his life. But will he admit it before he loses her for good. He has a lot of saving to do and that includes her and the children and your wondering the entire time if they are really going to be ok after everything they have been through. But most of all will Sabella ever be able to forgive him. Things might not have ever happened to her if it hadn’t been for him and it might take a miracle for forgiveness to be given. You do not want to miss this last book. If you haven’t started the series then you are missing something so good and need to dive in right away. I have loved every book in this series and am sad to see it end. But, I can’t say that I am disappointed in how it ended. As a reader you go though things with the characters and this one really had me hanging on by a thread.
Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
