This is the story of J. Queen of the Reapers cleanup crew. You have to read the first book, One Love because this one picks up where that one left off. She is one a mission for vengeance and getting her daughter back. The mystery in this book is who is her mysterious texter. I did not expect who it was to be who it was and I don’t know that anyone will figure this one out. There is a serial killer targeting young memebers of the mafia, a mysterious gambler and the Irish mob all in this book. And we get to meet the new love interest for J. since she lost Murphy in the first book. I think that she really loved him in her childhood been there forever kind of way but when she meet Dmitry Novak He brings a little lightness to an otherwise dark life. I loved that about him and how he seems to balance her out. But don’t for one second think there is some knife play, obsession, he’s morally gray and has the best interaction with her as she swings from using him as target practice to wanting to jump him. He really added to this book and you will fall for him right along with J. This is a dark romance so you need to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. I loved this story. Once I picked it up I didn’t lay it down.
