I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
I love to read books by this author that are on the darker side and the sweeter side. One String is on the sweeter side. This is the story of Marilyn and Ricky. This is one story that you will not want to put down. These are two characters that have a lifetime of history between them. Some of it was good, and some of it, not so much. He is her best friend’s brother, and has always been someone she shouldn’t have wanted. However, she has always had a crush on him for as long as she could remember. When they were in high school and he was graduating they took things to a whole other level. One night, a secret and they have carried that secret around for years. She never expected to feel the way she did when he walked off like nothing had ever happened. It really broke her heart. Fast forward and her best friend is now getting married. She knows that she is going to have to see him again. What happens when they meet again for the first time in years? You have to read to find out. I loved every single second of this story. It is one of the best sweet romance books that I have read in years. Marilyn is one strong girl. I really loved how she carried herself and knew her value and was not going to let any person make her feel less than. Ricky at times is not going to be your favorite person, but under it all and his actions there is a man that has a huge caring heart. I loved reading their banter and at times it was cracking me up. Right along with their chemistry that is off the charts smoking hot. You do not want to miss this book.
Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
