I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the story of Dare and Rose. I don’t know that we could really call Rose a daddy’s girl. But she was raised by him since she lost her mother and she follows his orders to the letter. However, he also promised her that she would never be promised to be married to someone else. Until, he went back on his word and promised her hand in marriage to a horrible human being. Rose can’t let that stand and she comes up with a plan. However, things do not go exactly as they were suppose to and the next thing you know she finds herself going to Dare with the crazy plan. Dare is a monster in her eyes. Or that’s what she has always been told. But he to is living with a lot of loss and cares so much about keeping his family far away from where he is and safe. After all someone took out his parents and he is trying to find who that is while running a successful business himself. He knows Rose and isn’t crazy about her himself but when they have the same plan at the same time he sees his chance at revenge and she knows it it her opportunity to finally find what her father needs to take his interest in his business. I don’t want to tell you more about the story as there are things you need to uncover right when the characters so. This was a good read. It will keep you reading well into the night.
