This is the story of Alek and Everleigh. When you open this book the story takes right off. You don’t have to worry about reading a few chapters and then getting to the good stuff. It’s there from the very beginning. Alek was born to be a Bratva soldier and that is what he is currently training to do. When the assignment comes in for him to kidnap a mafia princess, he never expects that assignment to go totally off the rails. He and his brother Vincent manage to kidnap the wrong girl and end up with Everleigh instead. The clothes she has on her right the girl while they decide to take her anyway they get run off the road and are all three kidnapped together. What follows is her and Alek going thought some tough things together. After all to him it is better for him to take the beatings than her. Soon though the develop feelings for each other. That is until Alek sees Everleigh and his brother die right in front of him. As you can imagine this really messed with him. Years have passed since all of this happened and Allek isn’t doing well at all. He’s great at this Bravta duties but it has all left him cold, shut off, unpredictable and super intense. When Alex is in LA you can imagine the shock when he finds Everleigh. Alive and well living there, owning a bookstore and trying her hardest to get through every single day. Well these two ever be able to find their way back to each other when a triggering factor for Everleigh is the Bravta and Mafia? Well you have to read and find out. I left out a lot of things that happened in this book. It is full of heartbreaking moments, twists and turns. It is a really great conclusion to the Corrupted Royals series. You do not want to miss it.
