This is the story of Cami and Maxim. Cami is a socialite. It is all she has ever known and all she is ever allowed to be. So that means she spends her days shopping, eating and sleeping. She really has a pampered life But, when threats start coming in about her family her father decides he needs to hire her a bodyguard. Not exactly thrilled about this she never expects the man standing before her to be him. He is hot. Really, really hot and she wants him. They have no choice but to spend a lot of time together and the more time they spend together the more she begins to break down the walls of steel she has built around him. He is not exactly thrilled to be guarding this girl who really does nothing much. He really is attracted to her but toward her he is really cold. He has to be because he can not afford for her to know that he is not just a bodyguard but really is caring around a huge secret about who he really is. When Cami finds this out about him she is shocked that her father would feel the need to hire an assassin. She is going to find out everything that there is to know about him. However, you better look out for what you ask for. It just might turn out to be more than you can handle.
I loved this book. I didn’t lay it down, and I certainly devoured it. I really loved these characters. Cami is a really sweet girl and she really makes sure that she tires to be understanding in everything and everyone that she comes across. Max is just great. He is cold and he could be cruel but he also has some great inner dialogue when you are reading his POV in this story. That was my favorite part of the story. You get to know this man and I loved every single second of that.
