This is the story of Rigger and Navy. Or I can say too that is is Colin and Vivi’s story. When he was sixteen he met six year old Vivi when her mother came to live with his father having never met each other and only interacted online. He had to make sure this six year old girl didn’t know how horrible his father was. After all he was on his best behavior in front of her and her mother while still being horrible to Colin. Ray is his father and he has always treated Colin like he was nothing and worthless and just absolutely horrible. To say I don’t like the man is an understatement. When Colin was old enough and couldn’t take it anymore he ran but he has always remembered the little girl that he left behind. Sweet and innocent and very important to him but his safety and sanity were equally important to him too. Fast forward fifteen years later and Colin is now going by Rigger and you will find out why that is his road name too. He is the VP of the Sons of Erebus and has just taken a huge step in opening up a legal business for the club called the Honey Pot. Now we are in Nevada in this book so you can put two and two together and figure out what kind of high end club this is. Things are going great for him. Vivi is now 21 and what she is going through is the thing of nightmares. Trying her hardest her goal is to get her and her mom away from Ray before he kills one of them. But her job at the diner isn’t cutting it and she needs a better paying job. When a friend casually brings up the Honey Pot she knows that this could be the one opportunity that she has to get the money she needs for her and her mom to run. However she never in a million years expects a mad biker to come up to her the night before they open and destroy the dream she has of getting out from under Ray. Colin has changed and now goes by Rigger and she by Navy and he isn’t having any of this but he also knows that living with Ray has had to be rough on her but he has absolutely not a clue what it’s really been like. This is the story to two broken people trying their best to live their lives. One has found his own family in his MC and one is just trying to survive. I can’t say anymore about his book than what I already have. I don’t want to give something away. I absolutely loved Rigger and Navy. They are both amazing characters that will steal your heart. I loved the way they kind of had this dance around each other thing going on. After all he is her stepbrother. Or was he really? He left. But he also thought he was doing the right thing and the second he sees Navy he knows that there is more there than just being a protective brother. He would move heaven and earth for her if he could. Navy is one tough character and the things she goes through would have destroyed lives but she is a fighter in the true sense of the word. She loves her mom and that’s all she has and she will do anything to protect her. But what I loved most about her was seeing her grow into her own skin. To become the young lady that has always been there it just took a while for her to find herself. Like I said they will steal your heart. When I came to write this review I noticed that it says this book is 340 pages long. Ummm. I devoured it and it sure didn’t feel like it was that long of a book. I felt like I got it read quickly while being so engrossed in it I didn’t lay it down unless I had to feed the family. You don’t want to miss this book. I’m even more excited that this is the first book in this series. There are so many characters in this book that I want to know a whole lot more about. I can’t wait to see who we get to read about next. Don’t worry there isn’t a cliff in this book you do get an ending though I won’t tell you if it is a happily ever after or not.
