This is the first book in the Cruel Empire Series. It is the story of Lissia and Marchello. I don’t even know that I know how to review this book. I feel like if I say anything I am going to give something away. Lissia is a really spoiled Mafia Princess. When it comes to what someone tells her to do, she doesn’t listen and she certainly doesn’t do it. However, her father has promised her hand in marriage to Danny. She can’t let that happen and knows that she needs to get out of that any way possible. When she meets Marchello, she is so drawn to him from the get go. These two meet at his family auto auction that they hold every year. She knows that if anyone could help her it would be him so she asked him to help her get away from her father. When she is believed to have been taken all bets are off and life as they know it is about to get a whole lot more interesting. Lissia I must say has a smart mouth. A really smart mouth she loves to run. At times I don’t know how he didn’t lose it on her. But, in the end they ended up having some really great banter. I loved reading this book. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next one.
