This is the story of Novalee/Glitter and Levi, Koen, Sylus, Alaric, Nico and Ezra. She is a girl who is dealing with a whole lot of hurt. She is also working as a stripper. But when she stumbles on a pair of famous magicians at the graveyard, she accidentally steals one of their watches. Now they are sticking a deal between themselves to help each other out. Now she is being pulled into social circles of the Elite and a family of broken characters that will either heal her or hurt her more. Can she accomplish the task she has been sent to do without losing her heart? I don’t even know that I can say a lot about this book and not give something away. I adored these characters. This is a the first book in a duet so you should expect a cliffhanger. I can’t wait to get the second book in my hands. I need to know what is going to happen next asap.

Manipulation and control are central themes, featuring forced hypnosis/coercion, manipulation, and mind games (including coerced abstinence from alcohol and Hypnotism taking part in the bedroom).
Additionally, there is sexual content, as well as depictions of sexual harassment and attempted assault. Other themes include homophobia and internalized homophobia, medical vulnerability (use of hearing aids), underage drinking and drug references, smoking, and cigarette littering. Consensual somnophilia is depicted, as well as discussions about being child-free by choice, including references to sterilization. Lastly, contrary to my other books, there is somewhat of a marriage—it’s Vegas, after all.
The magic tricks, sleight of hand, and illusions described in this book are grounded in the principles of modern-day magic, hypnotism, and advanced techniques currently used by magicians, mentalists, and illusionists.
While some may seem fantastical, they are possible with the right equipment, expertise, and showmanship.
