I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Victor and Marlena. This woman is stubborn to a fault. She doesn’t need a man in her life. She can do it on her own, as she wants to depend on no one. There are reasons for this that you will discover as you read the book. I don’t much blame her. Strong as she is though, she has busted her butt for a new life. However, she can’t start it because she is being blackmailed by someone she knows. It soon becomes very obvious that she is going to have to have some help. Help that comes in the form of Victor. I loved this man. He is all alpha male. Has this really protective side to him. Determination should be his middle name, but his fatal flaw is that he doesn’t know how to compromise. Ever. However, if he wants to be with Marlena he is going to have to do exactly that. These two are fire. The chemistry they have is just sparking off the pages of this book. He wants to swoop in and save the day. Protect her from everything that could ever go wrong in her life. But, her past has made it so she doesn’t trust. They are constantly butting heads and you as the reader are a little all over the place in what you want to see happen. This book was really good and I could say so much about it but if I talk about the story I’m afraid I will give something away. You just need to get it and read it. You will be hooked and loving it as much as I did.
