She’s wrong. To survive in my world, you have to be dead inside, be on guard at all times, and never dream of the impossible. You never dream of anything because you don’t just get to stop working for the Polish mafia. But you can be stolen from them. Well, kind of. When Gabriel Demir, head of the Turkish mafia, attacks my boss, I’m caught in the crossfire. I’m taken captive, interrogated, and soon find myself in the position of maid again. Only this time, it’s for the Turkish instead of Polish. This time it’s for a dangerously attractive man and not the insane one I’ve known all my life. This time I find myself fantasizing about my boss instead of dreaming of ways to escape. This time I’m not threatened with pain and death but with pleasure.   But can I step out of the maid’s uniform and into a ballgown? Do I dare cross that line just for a moment in the spotlight?

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Lara Norwak and Gabriel Demir. She is a maid for the Tymon Muzur and she works for him as a maid. But when Gabriel storms the compound she is caught in the crossfire and is taken by Gabriel so that he can try to extract information and to recover. He is the leader of the Turkish mafia and really wanting to get revenge against the Polish Mafia. However she wasn’t involved in anything that to where she would have heard any information that would be valuable to him and lucky for her his house staff has taken a real liking to her. Gabriel too can tell how traumatized and broken she is and that she has not useful information to give him. Lucky for Lara he doesn’t take care of her like you would think he would and soon things get very very interesting. I don’t want to say much more about the story but the fact that I loved it so very much. It was a book that hooks you from the beginning and will just melt your hearts. Its a story of family and things lost and finding just exactly what you never knew you needed.
