This is the story of Valentina and Fiero. Fiero is the Don! The man and he is happy being the single ladies fall at this feet kind of guy that he is. He is in the Commission with his best friend and living his best life with all the money he could ever want at his disposal. However, maybe he has something missing in his life. The moment he see Valentina at a charity function he cannot get the girl out of his head. He is about to do what he has to do to make her his. But, he has a big problem. She is married to another Don. Valentina finds herself in a marriage that her parents arranged for her. She has more in common and is closer in age to her husband son than she is him. He is more than twenty years older than her. But, she has to protect her family so she will do whatever it takes to make sure they are all ok. However Fiero and all his money have come calling with a deal her husband can’t say no to. However, leave it to her husband to have a devious plan. One wants her to run and the other is never going to let her go. I loved reading this book. It really kept me on my toes and the edge of my seat. I didn’t put this book down until I was finished with it. I loved that this is a different kind of Mafia read than we usually get. And yes I know you saw the word husband in my review. But, don’t let that make you think this is a book about cheating. Pick it up. I promise you will not regret it for a second.
