This is the story of Briar and Emmett. A long while ago she would have written his name on her notebook since she had a major crush on him. When she has to return to the small town she grew up in her sister is there to save the day and gets her a job on her fiance’s ranch as a yoga instructor. But that means she has to see Emmett and she is a girl who knows how to hold a grudge. To make things ever worse, the house she was living in sold and she has no place to go but to live with Emmett. At this point you just know that Briar is feeling like the universe is out to get her. Emmett is the youngest of the Naoughton brothers and he really is this fun loving carefree guy who takes what life gives him and moves one. Briar is a little more serious and has been though some things with the man she thought she was in love with. To top it off she now has to deal with her crush that she is not a fan of anymore. However, it isn’t long until things are bound to change. These two have some amazing chemistry together. I love that we always get to see the characters in the previous books while reading this series. There are moments that will have you swooning along with some tense moments. This was a really great story and addition to the Plain Daisy Series.
