This is the story of Ben and Gillian. Ben is a very successful football player but the time has come for him to retire and he is headed home. There is a reason to go home besides his father really insisting that he come home. Gillian. She is the one that got away and he has never been able to stop thinking about. He really never expected to see her again for the first time in years at a parade his father arranged as a welcome home. But she ran and he needs to know why she just suddenly disappeared. However Gillian is now a mom to her son Clayton. I will go ahead and say that he is going to steal your heart. In true small town fashion the entire town thinks that Clayton is Ben’s. But they are wrong and Gillian has worked really hard to keep the secret of who Clayton’s father is. However the town wants these two to be together so badly they make them being in the room for the first time possible. However, will their little plan work. Now I know that it is odd for the town to help these two out. But when you are reading this book you are going to fall so hard for this town that you wouldn’t mind living there yourself. I don’t want to say more and ruin the book for anyone. I can tell you that I loved the cast of characters in this book. I loved the characters and really wanted them to be together. I rooted for them a lot in this book. This is a small town romance that you do not want to miss.
