This is the final book in the Beautifully Brutal Series. While these books are all about different couples you need to read them in order. There is a story line that carries though all the books even though they are about different characters. When you are raised to be the heir of the Doughty family you know that one day you are going to need a queen. Someone to rule and reign by his side. Evan and Teigan have been friends since childhood. They were childhood sweethearts actually until she broke his heart. Ten years he has been without her and he has dedicated all those years to the life he was born into.When you’re born into the Iris mob, you have jobs to do and he is good at his. But he is never letting a woman break his heart again. He however never expected to get the news that she had been taken and is now being sold. He might hate her for breaking his heart but he cannot let that happen. Even if he has to buy her himself. What he never expected was to have to live with her in hiding to keep them safe. They both have demons they need to deal with. Can they do it together and reign together like he has always hoped to have? You have to read and find out.
I really loved these characters. I couldn’t wait to get Evan’s book in my hands. Yes he is mentioned in the series but all we really know about him is that he will one day rule the Doughty family. He is as hot as he is ruthless. A total alpha who runs hot and cold but will have you swooning at times. He has this presence about him that you can’t ignore from the moment he enters a room. But the man has some serious feelings and issues with Teigan while at the same time he would burn down the world for her. He also has a mouth on him that you are just going to love. I know that I sure did. Teigan is a strong female character that you are going to love. She has gone though things that I don’t know if I could get though. But she sure does get through them with some grace and dignity and fierceness. She has a good head on her shoulders and I so rooted for her and Evan because she is exactly who he needed to be his Queen, even if he doesn’t see it at times. Remember he is stubborn and a man can’t change overnight. If you haven’t started this series then you have six books to get to and enjoy and trust me they are all absolutely amazing. If you have been reading this series then this is the conclusion that you have been reading toward. It is such a great way to end the series. I am really sad that it is over. I have fallen in love with so many characters throughout this series and I am going to miss them.
