I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Semyon and Anya. These two were friends as children, and best friends with her brother Eli. But Anya has always had a secret crush on her brother’s best friend. However, at a time Eli drew the attention of the Irish mob putting Anya in a very dangerous situation. Now that they are older though things have happened and she is certain that Semyon is responsible for her mother’s death. But he isn’t the same boy he was when they were children. Now he is cold and ruthless and very unforgiving. Except for when it comes to Anya. But as far as she is concerned he is the enemy. However, the only way she can save her family comes down to her marrying him. Marrying him is going to cost her a lot of her freedom because he is a control freak. He is now in control of her mother’s bakery. However, the more time she spends with him the more she realizes that she might just be falling for her sworn enemy. He on the other hand would do anything to protect his now wife. Neither one of them are very trusting but they find themselves having to open up to each other and while his obsession grows she is losing her heart bit by bit. I loved these character’s. I really loved watching these two grow together and it is always something to see a woman bring a man to his knees. This is a really great book that you do not want to miss.
