Renee’s Five Star Review  I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark romance. You will want to heed the warnings in the beginning of the book. It might contain triggers for some readers. This is the story of Vance and Primrose. Oh gosh Primrose. This poor girl never catches a break and just when she might thinks she has, bam, something else happens. I really felt for her and now she is about to be stuck in a marriage that she really doesn’t want to have anything to do with. Vance is working really hard to become the had of the DeLuca mafia and to do that he has to be married. Primrose has a father that is very in dept to the DeLuca’s and to save him from this dept, Vance is going to take Primrose as his wife. Gosh I don’t even know where to start. I really felt for Primrose. The girl never really has had any choices in her life and now she is about to be married to a man she never in a million years would choose. However she is going to discover that she is stronger than she thinks and can take care of herself. It was really great to watch her stand up and go toe to toe with Vance at times. He is this really tough man that seems to care about absolutely nothing and no one. However he does have a heart and that heart beats only for Primsrose. He would absolutely burn the world down for her but he gives her very mixed signals all the time with some of his actions. I don’t want to say anything more and give something away. I really loved this book. It was a great read that you do not want to miss. However I would advise reading We Dance In Sin so that you get the full story.

The driver is young, taking his job way too seriously as he explains there are complimentary snacks and water by our feet. He looks in the rearview mirror, eyes zeroing in on my wife as I narrow mine on him. “You are very pretty, miss.” “Eyes on the road,” I snap, throwing my arm around my angel and pulling her closer. “Fucker,” I mumble under my breath. Leaning into her ear, I whisper, “Seems my mark on your neck isn’t going to cut it.” She giggles, and I smile. She likes my caveman tendencies even if she pretends to be immune to them. “I think he’s just trying to get a nice tip,” she whispers back. I shake my head, lips positioned at the side of her head. “Nah, he wanted to feel us out, see if you belong to me or if you’re free game.” The car pulls up to a beach house restaurant. It looks like anything but a high-class restaurant, but I had to book this place when I made the reservations for our condo months ago. I open the door for Primrose, allowing her to walk a bit ahead of me before I shove my head back in the car. “Instead of a tip, I’m going to allow you to keep your eyes instead of taking them as collateral for looking at what’s mine.” The driver’s eyes widen and his mouth opens and closes like a fish out of water. I slam the door, walking up behind Primrose and grabbing her hand. She looks down at our joined hands, a tiny smile on her face as she looks up to me behind dark shades. “Did you tip him nicely?” I smirk. “I sure did.”
