This is the story of Lissie/Elizabeth and Milo. Lissie is the sweetest girl who has had a rough time of things and has been seriously taken advantage of. She is married to one of the most horrible men in the world. He doesn’t appreciate what he has and is just using her basically. Their marriage has been bad for a while and for some reasons that you will discover she is not going to leave him. I think she thinks that she made her bed, and she can lay in it. The only job she has is to read to Milo. Yep, you read that right. He pays money to her, which her husband takes, for her to come to his place every so often and read a book to him. Milo is the president of the local MC. He is larger than life and is really feared by even the local police in the small town they live in. He is no small man, and yes ladies she is reading to him a book like you will be reading when you start this one. He is dedicated to her MC family but he is not afraid to take the mean necessary to keep them all safe. I could name a million reasons why you are going to fall hard for Milo. But I will let you discover them all for yourself. I don’t know that I can tell you more than this. I went into this book blind. I don’t even think that I read the blurb well at all. Don’t let the she is married of it all make you think this book is about cheating. I promise you that it is not. This is at its heart a book that is about discovery. Of characters that have lost themselves along the way, or think they don’t need love in their life and are going to grow and change and become who they are truly meant to be. I loved this book. I think I left a piece of my heart back in the pages of this book. Now run as fast as you can and fall as in love with Milo and Lessie’s story as I did. You won’t regret it.
