My father was a ghost.

A whispered name. A shadow my mother feared, always watching the door like he might materialize and drag us into his darkness at any second.

The infamous president of the Vicious Reapers Motorcycle Club.

And now heโ€™s dead.

Iโ€™m all thatโ€™s left to settle his estateโ€”a man I never knew, not even in a photograph.

Now, Iโ€™m crossing the country to sift through his life, chasing answers my mother spent years running from.ย

The president is dead.

Bullet is here to claim whatโ€™s his.

Bullet. A ruthless, cocky bastard who wants me gone before I even unpack. To him, Iโ€™m just a pretty little problemโ€”better off in his bed than in his way. He thinks I want money and power.

Heโ€™s wrong.

I want the truth.

But in a world built on blood and betrayal, it might just kill me.

Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the story of Dakota and Bullet. I have to warn you that this book is such a good read, that you will not be able to lay it down. Hayley has spent her life in a cult thanks to her mother. She really didn’t know her father but has to go to where he lived to settle his estate. However, she is about to find out that her father was the president of a motorcycle club. You have to keep in mind that all of this is news to her from where she was her entire life. She is still trying to figure out what living in the “real” world is like. Dakota finds himself as the new president of the Vicious Reapers. He has a heart of gold, is rough around the edges. When Shade passed away that made him the president and he is about to meet his long lost daughter. She should have been the princess of the MC but she never got the opportunity to know her father really, because of her mom. He is less than thrilled that this woman Dakota is here in his life, since Shade was like a father to him. He wants to hate her but somewhere along the way , whether he will admit it or not, she is becoming more and more to him. I loved every second of this book. I love the push and pull and banter between these two. I loved seeing the world though the eyes of someone not raised in it. But most of all I loved the entire story and couldn’t put it down.

About Renee Henson

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
