Renee’s Five Star Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the first book in the Lakeshore U Series from L.A. Cotton. This is the story of Noah and Rory. I have to just go ahead and say that you are going to be hooked on this book from the beginning and falling so hard for these characters. Rory is transferring to Lakeshore U where her brother Austin is. He is on the hockey team and lives off campus with some teammates. She has had this big problem with housing and has to move in with them for a little while until they get it settled. She is also a girl who can’t stand Hockey and has just gotten herself out of a really bad relationship. This is her chance to start over. Her new beginning so to speak. Noah is one of her brother’s best friends and roommates. Austin has asked them all to look after his sister and he wasn’t expecting her to be like she is when she moves in. She is the total opposite of any girl he has ever been interested in and she is certainly a surprise to him. But when he falls he falls hard and now he just has to work around her being one of his best friends and teammates sister. And she is just coming out of a terrible relationship that has left her very insecure. He is quirky and funny and a guy that all the girls just fall for. This could be a huge challenge for both of them. But you have to read and see if they can make it work or if they are doomed before they even get started. I really loved this book. I loved Noah and Rory and the story they had to tell.

Meet L.A. Cotton

USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of over forty mature young adult and new adult novels, LA COTTON is happiest writing the kind of books she loves to read: addictive stories full of teenage angst, tension, twists and turns.

Home is a small town in the middle of England where she currently juggles being a full-time writer with being a mother/referee to two little people. In her spare time (and when she’s not camped out in front of the laptop) you’ll most likely find LA immersed in a book, escaping the chaos that is life.

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too.
