Review: Abby and I give 5 hearts to all four of these books

I loved the series because they are fun, colorful, and teach the kids good lessons.  I loved that the books are about Capatin no beard and his crew and it goes into detail about being a pirate using language like argh, and matey but it also shows that he is such a great pirate but it’s all in his imagination.  It teaches about how important imagination can be.  They also teach other inportant lessions about dealing with stranger, patience, and sharing.  The lessons are in the story but they don’t feel like you are teaching them lessions.  It’s a fun message.

I really enjoyed the artwork in the book.  Everything is so colorful and vibrant.  It really helps little kids use their imagination and get into the pirate story with the crew.

A big factor in giving the series 5 hearts was watching my daughter and her grandpa reading the book together.  They both love pirates.  But as I watched him read to her both of them had big smiles and they were both really getting into the story.  Then they were both laughing at little jokes in the story about the poop deck.

I would recommend these books to anyone with young kids.  They would work for both boys and girls.
