Synopsis:

When Joelyn first learned of her daddy’s failing health, she wasn’t sure she wanted to visit him. Her small town home held too many painful memories.

In order to rebuild a broken relationship with her younger sister and find closure with her past, she returns to the rural town of Vernville, Tennessee and suddenly finds her world being turned upside down. Secrets and scars she wanted to take to her grave are being revealed and the man she never wanted to see again is slowly, but undoubtedly, tearing down her high built walls.

Her daddy is getting closer and closer to the end every day, her momma is always drunk, and every time she thinks her and her sister are bridging the gap between them something tears them apart. Joelyn doesn’t have time for parties or her daddy’s old drinking buddy’s harassments and she certainly doesn’t have time for Bo Marshall; no matter how his deep green eyes and devilish grin light up her crumbling world.

Tracy’s Review:

Coming Home ARC received in exchange for an honest review with thanks to Stephanie’s Book Reports.
At times it was hard to read this book because I was looking through teary eyes.  It was emotional in a big way.  It had this habit of pulling me in and twisting my heart. With family members, such as some of the ones Joelyn had,:under the carpet.  The stories of unkindness that hides behind the smiles sometimes of ones face.  It’s sometimes sad (tissues on hand ) and other times witty and funny.  Hopeless romantics, this one is definitely one for you.  5 huge stars! Well done K.C Great read!

Jodi’s Review:

This is the first book I have read from author but it will not be my last. Loved Joelyn’s story and how it was written. Abuse should never be tolerated but she grew up to be a good person in spite of what happened to her. I loved Bo but I wanted to find out more about him maybe get his point of view on certain subjects. Together they were a great couple. I am hoping there is more to come in this series for the Marshall’s because I am already in love with Owen. I would recommend this book. 4 Stars!
