Commitment by T.K. Leigh Release Review

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

Commitment is the first book in the Redemption Duet from T.K. Leigh. Since this is a duet you should expect a cliffhanger but the second book will be along shortly and the wait won’t be long.

She’s my sister’s best friend. She thinks I’ve never noticed her. She couldn’t be more wrong. Now I just need to prove it to her….before she walks down the aisle.

Brooklyn Tanner and Andrew Brinks have a long history…one she wants nothing more than to forget. Considering he’s her best friend’s brother. and single father to two amazing girl who mean the world to her, it’s almost impossible. When the man she’s been dating proposes, she thinks it’s exactly what she need to finally close this chapter of her life. After all, over sixteen years have passed since she gave Andrew Brinks her heart, only for him to destroy it. Why should that matter now? But it matters to Drew. When he learns of her engagement, he realizes he has a decision to make. Does he tell Brooklyn the truth of what happened all those years ago? Or does he watch her marry another man to protect her from enduring any more pain?

This book deserves all the stars in the world. I am so in love with this book. I am so in love with these character’s and I love the fact that it is told from both of their points of view. This book is super emotional and filled with angst. Friends to lovers is also one of my favorite kinds of books. I loved too that you get their back story so that you were left with nothing to wonder about in the past. There is also a huge secret that Drew is determined to keep from Brooklyn. It is the reason that they are not together and he doesn’t want to cause her the pain of knowing this secret. However there is just no way he can’t hurt her. Either way she is going to be destroyed because she is so in love with him. I for one can not wait to see what happens next. Do these two get the happily ever after that they deserve?? I can tell you one thing though. If they do get it, it is not going to come easily. All the things in life worth having are never easy to get.
