I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

This is the first book in the Saints & Sovereigns Series. This is the story of Rafe and Elodie. However there are more characters in this book that you will get to know. There is quite a bit going on in this book. There changes in leadership. A really bad man that your going to love to hate cause gosh. Well….you will see. Currently it would seem that Elodie is the mistress to Domenico Conte. He likes to have her pampered and spoiled. But when things get crazy and you’re involved with men that run criminal families all bets are off on your safety. Rafe never wanted to be in control of his family. But his brother has been murdered, his father was next and now his sister has been kidnapped. He can’t let that stand and when he see Elodie and finds out who she is to the man that has caused him all this misery he puts a plan in motion. He just never expected her to be the woman he met two years ago and has been obsessed with ever since then. What he does not realize is that Elodie was payment for a huge debt owed to his family. Not a spoiled pampered mistress. She has lived a terrible life since she was sold. But now she finds herself face to face with Rafe. He didn’t know that the wish he made on a Star would come true two years later and he would be reconnected with the woman he made the wish with. Either Fate has plans for them or this is a very bad idea for retribution. He has to make sure his sister is returned safely and keep Elodie away from the man that owns her.
This book is so well written that your going to feel every emotion in this book. Your heart is going to break. Your going to hate some characters. You will fall in love with others. I love when a story has a dirty talking alpha male and Rafe delivers in spades in that department. I could have listened to him talker for days and days. I loved the strength of Elodie and there is so much potential for a few other couples. I can’t wait to see whose stories we get next.
