I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is the second book in a duet. You have to make sure that you read Cruel Hate first or you will be lost in this book.
Cruel Love picks up right where Cruel Hate left off and we find that Pheonix is in a hospital struggle to remember. He thinks that he is fourteen and Aspen is left reeling. He of course does not remember her or the baby and she doesn’t want to keep it from him but she also doesn’t want to set back his recovery. However when the accident happened it brought out a different side of Pheonix. A side that I absolutely adore and it really opened Aspen up to him where she had been closed off since they were fake dating. Now things are very real and there is a lot on the line. There are also some evil forces working against them. So there are twists and turns and things you won’t see coming in this book. This is the conclusion to his and Aspen’s story and I loved every single second of it. I was so emotionally invested in this story that I lived these moments with these characters. You do not want to miss this book. I have loved this entire series actually and can not wait to see whose story we get next.
