Cruel Princes is the first book in this series from Jillian Frost. This is a dark bully romance and you should heed the warnings at the beginning of the book. It might contain triggers for some readers.
There are quiet a few people to keep you with as you have the Wellington grandchildren which are Aiden and Alex and then the Salvatore’s which are Luca and Marcello who are blood bother’s and then Damian and Bastian are adopted into the family after both their set of parents were murdered. These two have always been best friends and own an airline so they are billionaire in their own right without the Salvatore fortune. But Alex isn’t poor, she is a Wellington and the missing heir or the only female heir of marriage age and was promised to the Salvatore boys years ago when her grandfather made the deal. He came and took her and her bother out of a horrible like that has left Alex with some serious mental healthy issues including PTSD. They basically stepped out of one nightmare into another because there is a secret society that Aiden will have to become a member of even though that is the last thing he ever would want to do. You see he and his sister are both artist and Alex is amazing with her art and idolized the Salvatore’s mother who is now dead and a huge reason why she is hated by the Salvatore but a contract is a contract and she must marry one of them but they all agreed way in advance that she would belong to all of them. But the most important thing is one of them marries her and it really really needs to be Luca. He is groomed to take over for his brother as he is I guess tougher might be the right word. Marcello has a heart like his mother and she tried to raise her boys to love with them but there father had different ideas about how to raise the boys and they suffer trauma of their own. Especially Luca and you have to read to find out why. I do not want to give anything away as I loved so much peeling the layers of this story back one layer at a time. But I can tell you that there are many layers to come and I know we just touched the very tip of the iceberg in this book. So a girl forced to marry a son, a powerful family that desperately needs the marriage to happen to keep their power or lose it and a girl who is so much like their mother but her family is the reason for her death, and she is also in some serious danger from the Russian bratva and the dark web. My My there is a lot going on and I loved every single second of it. I didn’t lay this book down one time and was so engrossed in it the world around me could have exploded and I would have never known it. I am hooked and I can not wait to see what happens next to all these people that are stealing my heart.
