Dark Poison by Bec Botefuhr writing as Bella Jewel is now live!
USA Today Bestselling Author Bella Jewel, once writing as Bec Botefuhr, is releasing an older series with a new life! This is a three book series, and will come out one after the other. It is a dark romance with a lot of twists and turns, you’re not going to want to put it down!
Willow hasn’t had it easy, her mother has suffered from mental illness for as long as she has been on this earth, and her father is dead. It has been, since the moment she took her first breath, her against the world – fighting to protect those closest to her, fighting for a better life. When things finally begin to take a positive turn, Willow is confronted with a danger she didn’t see coming. Danger in the form of a gorgeous, deadly gang member who wants vengeance, and he’s going to use her to get it. Unraveling secrets she couldn’t even begin to imagine, Willow has no choice but to go with the deadly stranger, but there is one problem…he doesn’t plan on letting her leave.
It is a battle of life and death, with only one ending…
Someone must die.
Renee’s Five Star Review
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
This is a dark romance. It may contain triggers for some readers. You will want to heed the warning in the beginning of the book.
I have read a lot and I do mean a lot of Bella Jewel books. If you have never read anything that she has written that is dark then you have been missing out and I have to say I was loving her dedication of this book. However I had no idea that she had written under a different pen name. So I for one am glad that she is putting these books back out because I somehow missed this series.
This is the story of Jagger and Willow. Willow is a girl who has a mother that never really cared anything about her. There is a shocking scene in this book that really just about tore my heart out between Willow and he mom. Well not really between them but you will see when you read the book. When her dad died suddenly Willows entire world crumbled and she left home and never looked back. Fast forward and Willow has made her own little family with her younger sister and roommate. On a night when they decide to go out Willow meets the most attractive man she has seen in a long time and he is really interest in her. However, he might just have more up his sleeve that Willow could ever imagine. I don’t know that I really should talk about what happens after what I just wrote. I feel like that would cause this entire list of spoiler. I really loved Willow. I loved her strength, but there were more than a few time that she would throw a fit and I would be all calm down girl but then thought about it and I might throw a fit too. She is certainly a girl who is trying her hardest to not be like the mom she thought loved her but really didn’t and is convinced she has the same mental illness as he mom. Jagger is a…. hmmmm well he is a guy who I really really need to know more about. I know he is broken in ways that we haven’t uncovered yet and really hope that we do. He is a member and leader as far as I can tell of what is described as a dark brotherhood. He has his own little made full of bad butt men family too. He also is attracted to Willow and she too in more ways than one. Overall I really loved the story. It kept me on my toes and I still have so many questions. So so many and can not wait for the next book.

Renee Henson has an obsession with reading and reviewing. Especially anything that is a dark romance, fairy tale retelling, MC, and is trying her best to love the PNR worlds. Nothing is quiet as exciting to her as reading a good book and then talking about it or making comments while reading with her friends that have read the book too. She is always happiest with her kindle in her hand and her nose is a book. She has been reviewing for Stephanie's Book Reports for over ten years.
