My father owes a debt.
I am his currency.
I’m supposed to marry the recently crowned mafia king of the Foley family as repayment for my father’s transgressions. I don’t understand why the Foleys would want me, but I’ve grown up in a crime family, and I know the ugly consequences of not doing what you’re told.
But as the wedding date approaches, the deal changes, and I’m about to be wed to a man I know nothing about. In fact, I don’t even know his last name.
Instead of becoming a mafia princess, I’m marrying the henchman.
Deklan.
After one look at him, I’m not sure I’ll survive the wedding night.

*Deklan is a standalone.
What do you think would happen if in one minute you were just a typical 15 yr old girl enjoying all of the things girls that age enjoy, and the next minute, you discover that you are being sold as a special type of currency in order to pay your dad’s debts off, and in doing so, saving his life in the process. Well, that is exactly the type of situation Kera has found herself in.
Fast Forward 4 years
As the wedding approaches, the terms of the deal change. Instead of marrying Sean Foly, she is set to marry Deklan who is Seans’s henchmen. Oh Deklan! He made me swoon. He is super attractive, but it’s his size that scares Kera-the man is built like a mack truck. And don’t even get me started on the chemistry that existed between these two. I swear it was a living, breathing thing. After they wed, Kera just can’t seem to get comfortable in her new surroundings. Deklan is sweet and tender with Kera, and what starts off as a business transaction soon turns into something beautiful. Now don’t get me wrong, Deklan is still a cold blooded killer, but Kera brings out a softer, more romantic side of him. In my opinion, Kera was as tuff as nails. She had been through certain situations that would most likely break other people.
Overall, this was such an awesome read! Through her words. Shay Savage created the perfect storm. There is suspense. There is danger. Then there is sex and love. My suggestion? One-click this book and batten down the hatches because you are in for one fun, crazy, and dangerous ride!
Renee’s Five Star Review:
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.
In her father’s eyes Kera is the means to rid himself of a debt with the Foley family. At fifteen Kera is kidnapped and held for ransom. A ransom her daddy can not pay. A deal is struck that Kera would marry the Foley family son. However before the deal can be cemented the head of the Foley organization dies and the son Sean decides he has no desire to be married to Kera and forces her to marry his hit man. Will these two ever have a normal life together or do they even want to?
This type of Shay Savage book is my favorite. I love when she writes about a crime family. I devoured her Evan Arden series and once I found out Deklan was organized crime in nature I could not wait to get my hands on it. Shay Savage has created two amazing characters in Kera and Deklan. Deklan the big tough enforcer with a heart of gold who wants nothing more than to provide for his unexpected bride and keep her save. Kera though for her part is one tough cookie. This poor girl has been though it. Plus she is blocking most of it out. I love how they are thrown together neither prepared for the other and good gosh how glad I am she didn’t end up with Sean. He is a horrible horrible person. I can’t even imagine what her life would have been had she ended up in the deal that was originally struck.
Shay Savage is so great at creating worlds you don’t want to leave and characters that will stay with you. I feel like Deklan and Evan Arden need to be friends and be all bad butt together for a little while. That is a book I so wouldn’t put down from front to finish. I loved this story. It has action, suspense, love, passion, kindle melting good times and most of all a what the heck is going on. Go grab this book and just dive it. It’s up on the top of my list as far as Shay Savage favorites go. You do not want to miss Deklan.
