I was given a copy of this book by the author for an honest review.
Dirty Pleasures is the second book in the Dirty Billionaire series. I really like these characters and the storyline. This particular session of Creighton and Holly has Creighton tracking Holly down to her country music tour and following her around to various venues.
I think what surprises Holly the most are the feelings she’s developing for her billionaire, Alpha husband. It’s not just a stunt on paper to save her from marrying a guy just for the sake of the label. It’s a real and true romance. She’s not sure how to feel about that…but has no problem submitting in the bedroom to Creighton’s demands.
Outside of the bedroom however – Holly has a hard time letting anyone control her. Especially her label…but their demands trump all since she’s under contract. Not much wiggle room there. With Creighton, though, she’s willing to go toe to toe with him over her career verses hers. It’s definitely a show you’ll want to read about.
The reason I rated this book a three star is because Holly has a tendency to get on my last nerve. She runs from her problems instead of facing them. Just like the one person she’s adamant not to be most like – her mother. Holly can’t see through the trees sometimes she’s so determined to sow her own road. However, sometimes you just need someone to help you see things more clearly and show you a different route that is a much better direction.
Creighton is a stubborn mule and he forgets that no matter what his agenda is he should consider Holly’s as well. You can only Alpha so much before your woman up and high tails it away from you for being so inconsiderate and clueless. This is one part of the story line that you just want to shake these two and say GET IT TOGETHER!
I’m enjoying these characters and look forward to seeing how the author draws the conclusion – Dirty Together.
