Killian is in his last year at the Asylum. He has had all kinds of things tired on him. Hydrotherapy, electroshock, but he still is called a sadist. However he is also a godless heathen. A king never to be dethroned. Millie is the girl he finds her one knees in the chapel because she isn’t like everyone there and doesn’t belong there. However he knows that she should be there and exactly who she should be kneeling before. I don’t see a way to tell you much about this story and not give something away. You need to pay attention to the trigger warnings. This is a very dark book and one that sucked me right in from the first chapters. It has been days since I finished this book and I am still thinking about it. These characters and the way they are written are absolutely amazing. You will not want to put this book down or for it to end.
