I didn’t realize this was the fourth book in a series until I was setting up the release post for this book. You definitely don’t have to read the others for this book to make sense. I wasn’t lost at all and obviously didn’t know there were others connected.
Down Too Deep features two single parents – Jenna and Nathan. She works from home and he owns a restaurant. They meet by chance but it’s one of his employees that suggests Jenna take a chance on getting to know Nate, as he’s known to his friends/employees.
Each have their own issues with being a single parent. Jenna has the upper hand as she’s raised twins by herself since birth and can easily take on his toddler to give Nate a hand until he hires more help at the restaurant.
These two realize they have a mutual attraction but they must be careful acting on it because of the children. I think the author did a great job here with setting up their relationship and how everything transpired thereafter.
This story is easy to read and I found it to be face paced. Nate and Jenna’s story is very realistic. They could be your next door neighbors or your kids friends from school’s parents.
