Cassy’s Review:
I received this ARC from Netgalley to read for an honest review.
I requested to read this book because of the title. When I saw the “Persephone’s League of Immortals” I assumed that it would have more Greek Mythology in it. I love to read books about the Greek Gods and Goddesses. It’s always fun to see the different variations of stories by the authors.
This book had a little mythology in it, but I would have liked more. However, that aside, I still really enjoyed the book. I love paranormal as well, so I wasn’t disappointed.
Noel never really believed in “Things that go bump in the night” although her best friend, Autumn does and even has her own New Age shop. When Noel starts having dreams that seem all too real and meets the actual Man of her dreams, she thinks she’s losing her mind. Soon she’s thrown into a world she never believed existed, so she thought, and her life changes. Soon she’s surrounded by those beings she never believed in, running from “people” that are after her and her friends. She’s even thrown into a love triangle with two seemingly perfect men.
This book started out a little slow, but picked up, and when it did, I didn’t want to put it down. I was excited to know what happens next and who Noel chooses. I look forward to reading the next in the series. I’m hoping for more mythology and learning more about Persephone’s League and what they are all about, something I was missing in this book. I am rating it 4/5 stars.
