If you’ve not read Entice by S. Layne STOP HERE. Seriously. The rest of this review will be full of spoilers if you don’t STOP HERE.
Ok…those of you still with me. Embrace picks up where Entice ends. Laurie is devastated by the collaboration of Liam and her father. It’s the worst kind of betrayal. Yet she still has to face Liam daily. A break must be taken. Laurie needs to get her head on straight and she can’t do that being in Liam’s presence consistently. Not to mention her husband, James, is still determined to earn her trust back and put their marriage on track again.
Interesting revelations happen in this book. Laurie really wises up to what she really wants and is looking for. Then she pinpoints which of these two men can give it to her. She has a long way to go, it would seem, to make her dreams come true.
The best part of this story is you’re probably pulling for one particular character in Entice but in Embrace totally change your mind. I definitely did. What a douche bag! Anyway, I think the story moved smoothly and the characters were definitely enticing. There’s definitely some tough choices to make when your heart is torn between two. Who do you choose? Sometimes you have to listen to your head before your heart.
