The relationship between editor and author has never been so intimate or so explicit…

Ellie Parker is a young editor at Denton Rifkin Publishing. She loves her job, and her desire is to leave her mark on the publishing world. When she becomes the editor for the very prestigious Jackson Ford, she is beyond excited. The problem is that Ford has a reputation for being difficult to work with. Their first email correspondence turns out to be both frustrating and quite shocking. As a result, their relationship starts out on a bad note. When Ellie’s boss, Louise, sends her to Jackson’s home unannounced, things between Jackson and Ellie heat up, and what follows is a lot of drama and emotional turmoil.
Overall, I enjoyed this book! The story line kept me interested from beginning to end, and the secondary characters were great. I loved Ellie’s best friends, Bianca and Maggie! They were super supportive, and, in my opinion, every girl should have friends like them! Plainly put, this is a really good book that I would have no trouble recommending to a friend!

Jackson Ford is a best selling author who’s editor has retired. Ellie Parker finds herself assigned to be Jacksons new editor. She’s excited and only wants him to be as great as he once was. Jackson on the other hand is resistant to any help with his book but does want Ellie for more than his editor. Can these two strong willed people find the balance between lust, work, love and greatness?
I’m not sure what I expected this book to be and I must admit it wasn’t at all what I’d been expecting. I’m not sure exactly what I expected this book to be, but after emails saying how dirty it was I expected more. A down and dirty gritty has me gasping in shock kind of read is what I expected. What I got though was a story that broke my heart at times, had me reminiscing about my father in laws alzheimer and how I cared for him so I shed some tears. I wasn’t focused solely on Ellie’s moms illness and care though and just wanted more interaction with Ford and Ellie. I have yet to figure out after several days together how they fall so deeply in love and I really couldn’t believe she couldn’t figure out …….well you’ll see I don’t want to ruin anything for anyone. It is a good read I’m sure many people will enjoy it as I did. I think I had my expectations set way to high. And while it’s a page turner I just wanted more.
