What happens when the life you’ve taken for granted gets suddenly turned upside down?
Erica Kennedy was excited about starting her freshman year of college at State University with her best friend Monica. Out of the blue, her parents surprised everyone with a divorce that quickly turned nasty and she was forced to change all of her plans for the fall. Now, no longer attending State, Erica enrolls in Bishop University, a local four-year school geared more for older, working adults and those serving in the military at the nearby Air Force Base.
Being one of the younger students, Erica feels out of place. With two of her classes actually being on the military base, she’s even more uncertain because the classes there are filled with good-looking military men along with another interesting group who wear gray jumpsuits bearing the name The Falcon Club.
One guy in particular, Jaime, catches her attention and she can’t resist the urge to find out more about him.
Not sure if it’s luck or just coincidence, Erica is placed in a study group with Jaime and the mystery behind his gray jumpsuit becomes even more intriguing as does her attraction to him. What she thought was just an elite military group turns out to be so much more.In discovering the truth, can she stop herself from falling even more for him or will she take her chances and risk everything for a relationship with him?
The Falcon Club: Falling for Him, told from Erica’s point of view, is the first book in the two-part series. It will conclude with The Falcon Club: Falling for Her, Jaime’s story, which is told from his point of view.
The Falcon Club is like no other club you have read about before!
Virginia’s Review:
Stephanie asked me if I would be interested in reading and reviewing Falling For Him. I hadn’t read Amy’s books before and I hadn’t heard any buzz about them from any of my friends but of course I said yes. I’m always open to reading books from authors I haven’t read before; it’s how I’ve found so many new authors that I now love. I am now adding Amy to that list.
Amy really wrote a great story with Falling For Him. Erica planned to go away to college but due to family circumstances she has to change her plans and she enrolls in the local college. At registration she learns that some of her classes will be held on campus and some will be held at the nearby military base. Some of her classmates at the military base are men wearing “jumpsuits”. She finds one quite attractive but she can’t figure out who this group is or why they wear these jumpsuits. The beginning had me intrigued; I really didn’t know what these men in the jumpsuits were all about. Then it dawned on me and I was curious to see if I was right. My guess was right but I was glad I had no idea for a while- I liked the mystery and not being sure what was happening.
I found myself drawn to the characters and the story, not wanting to put it down. It was a quick read for me and I loved the chemistry between Erica and Jaime. They really were great together even though the circumstances were not ideal. And Jaime. There was something about him. Jaime was HOT! He was sweet and sexy and I found myself falling for him too. I can see why Erica did.
I found myself not wanting the book to end and I really wanted to see what would happen with the two of them and how their story would end. And then I got to the end. And I was like WHAT????? That cliffhanger. Oh my god. Really???? Now I need to jump into book 2, which is Jaime’s POV and hope and pray we find out more.
And I never look to match a character with a cover but I think the person on the cover is the PERFECT Jaime.
If you are looking for a great read that will pull you in and leave you wanting to jump into the next book for more, Falling For Him is a must read!
