Filthy English
by Ilsa Madden Mills
Release Blitz and Review
Synopsis
A smokin’ hot British player…
A jilted girl…
One night of mistaken identity…
Two weeks before her wedding, Remi Montague’s fiancé drops her faster than a drunken sorority girl in stilettos. Armed with her best friend and a bottle of tequila, she hops a plane to London to drown her sorrows before fall semester begins at Whitman University.
She didn’t plan on attending a masquerade party.
She sure didn’t plan on waking up next to the British bad boy who broke her heart three years ago—the devastatingly handsome and naked Dax Blay. Furthermore, she has no clue how they acquired matching tattoos.
Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London.
But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…
One night. Two damaged hearts. The passion of a lifetime.
*A modern love story inspired by Romeo and Juliet*
**no one dies in the writing of this novel**
Virginia’s Review- 5 stars
Ok. First of all, Dax is mine. Mine. Mine. Mine.
Now that that is out of the way, let’s talk about Filthy English.
Filthy English is a modern day Romeo and Juliet. Declan and Remi are in college and have a past but haven’t spoken in a few years. Fate brings them together when they least expect it. Then it does it again. It seems to want them together. Their attraction is undeniable but they are both broken and have issues with each other and in their own lives. Can they get their happily ever after?
Let me tell you this- I loved Filthy English!! Loved it! LOVED it!!!! Ilsa’s books are always great, so no surprise there right? And she did it again with Filthy English. I devoured it. I couldn’t put it down. I fell in love with the characters and story and didn’t want it to end.
Declan and Remi are great characters. Declan is hot. HOT!!!!!!!!!! Oh hell. He doesn’t do love. He’s a mess when it comes to girls and relationships. But he’s still so adorable and you can’t help but fall in love with him. Even when you want to smack him, which will happen more than once, you still love him. Their chemistry is off the charts. They couldn’t stay away from each other even if they wanted to.
Filthy English is full of angst. Dax and Remi’s relationship/friendship is all over the place. When things are good, they are really good but when they are bad, they are bad. They go back and forth, back and forth. I’m serious when I say you want to smack Dax. I was like- come on already- wake up!! He was a little frustrating at times but he makes up for it with charm and sex appeal and just his overall personality. I really was hoping they could get past all the issues keeping them apart and make it work.
Filthy English is an addicting, fast paced, witty, emotional story about love, forgiveness, and second chances. The writing is fantastic, the characters are amazing and the story is fab! Go one click!
