Review: 5 stars
I was given an ARC for honest review
“Bad things happen to good people.”
I could not put this book down once I picked it up! I was sucked in from the Prolog. I wanted details about what happened to him and was grabbing onto every little bit of a clue throughout the book trying to figure it out. Rebecca Brooke developed characters that felt like my friends. I was rooting for them, angry for them, heartbroken for them, and scared for them. She had my grinning and crying. I’m a baby I cry at everything so don’t be scared to read it if you’re not into books that make you cry.
I loved this Angie and Caleb they both had pain and tragedy in their past and this book is about how to get past that. This book shows how guilt and shame can eat away at people and really take away their lives. Angie is the sweetest thing and she is so strong but fragile at the same time. I just wanted to wrap her in a big hug and make her part of my family. Caleb could be the sweetest guy to Angie but then I would want to wrap him in a big hug too –around his neck–for the way he acted. Grab the book and see if they can get past all of this to rebuild their lives together.
