Fortress of the Damned by Mackenzy Fox and Dakotah Fox Release and Review

If you haven’t been reading the Medici Mafia Series then you are really missing out. These are some amazing books. This is a dark romance and you will want to heed the warning in the beginning of the book. It will contain some triggers for some readers.
When Rocco and Sloane first meet they do so because he basically kidnaps her because he needs information out of her about her involvement in the attempted assassination of the Medici Mafia head. Sloane is a super smart girl and she works in IT with some experience in hacking but she never in a million years thought when she got involved in an attempted murder. However much Rocco thinks she is involved she really wasn’t and the mafia knows that they need her working for them she is so good at what she does. Now though with a mafia war brewing Rocco is assigned to be her bodyguard and he is so good at what he does that he will protect Sloane at any cost. I loved Rocco. He might be a quiet guy but I loved his broody and protective side. He takes his job as a Medici enforcer as seriously as he took his job as a Special Ops soldier. Sloane is just perfect for him. Smart and funny at times she gives as good as she gets and she isn’t scared of Rocco. In fact it is the exact opposite and she brings light to the darkness in him. These two have some really great chemistry too and you can feel it bleeding off the pages along with all the rest of this must read book. Like I said before, because it is so worth saying, if you have not started this series you really need to or you are missing something amazing.
